Staff

James is a native of Philadelphia and has spent the bulk of his professional career in the fields of public health, managed care and social services. He is experienced in non-profit, for-profit and government settings. In addition to working in the Philadelphia metropolitan area, James spent nearly a decade conducting federally funded work in Hawaii, Guam, Saipan and American Samoa. James is a graduate of Philadelphia's Temple University.

Ruby J Benson, BBA, AAS has over 30 years of managerial and supervisory experience in the human services industry. After spending many years as director of housing and food programs in Delaware County, Ruby returned to Family Promise in 2022. She brings her extensive experience and wisdom to take on the role of case manager after being our director when we started sheltering families as Delaware County Interfaith Hospitality Network in 2007.
